It was an absolutely beautiful evening for a football game until out of nowhere it begun raining midway through the sophomore game. But by the start of main event the rain had disappeared and so did Herscher as the Knights scored in every quarter for a 35-7 victory and a conference championship.
The Herscher Tigers could move the ball between the 20's most of the night. But when it really counted they couldn't break the goal line, until midway through the third quarter.
The Knights scored twice in the first quarter and game was never in doubt thereafter.

It was a beautiful fall afternoon for football, as the undefeated Knights scored in the 40's for the 5th time this year in 7 tries and improved their state leading winning streak to 21. Only a fourth quarter Tiger touchdown ruined a totally enjoyable day for the Knights.

On a raw and rainy night with lots of slipin' and slidin' goin' on the Knights handed the Foxes from down south their worst beating of the year 41-14.
P.J. Fleck caught about 6 million passes of which 5 were incredible. Kyle Schrader took care of the ground game while the Knights defense was impressive again with the exception of 2 exceptional runs by super back Derrick King.

The Knights high octane offense sputtered big time on this windy Saturday afternoon at Ridgewood high school. With a just two minutes left in the game Billy McKeown caught a short pass over the middle and scampered 29 yards for the tying score. Josh Dimitri then kicked the winning point after.

The Rebels drove down to the Knights 30 yard line and like last year attempted a field goal for the win with just 5 seconds left, but it fell short.
Not only were 20 points the lowest point total for a Kaneland team since the Morris game exactly one year ago, but the offense gave up 9 points to the Rebels, while only scoring 13 themselves, with the defense accounting for the other touchdown.

The Lemont Injuns scored three touchdowns to become the first team to score against the Knights in a regular season game since Ridgewood did it in the fifth game of the 1997 season. The streak was broken in the second quarter stopping the Knights shutout string at 21 quarters.
The game was never in doubt with the Knights keeping the lead between 21 to 14 points all night as they scored what is becoming their standard - 42 points. P.J. Fleck had a super game with ten receptions for 173 yards, three touchdowns and two key fourth quarter interceptions.
