The 1997 Football Playoffs

It was a quest for excellence that begun on a grassy plot of land in the heat of the summer and ended on the artificial turf and fog of ISU stadium, many miles from home.

For most it was a love affair with a sport they enjoyed and for all it was one of the greatest feelings they will ever experience. A feeling they could share with their friends, families, and teammates. It was the feeling and thrill of being crowned Champions and putting a giant explanation point on a very special and magical season.

Here you will be able to stroll through weeks that lead up to the day after Thanksgiving, spending as much time as you like at each step along the way. As the trip to Normal becomes closer the play by play of the games will help revive those precious memories that start fading away with time.

Sit back and emerge yourself, as you step back in time and relive the excitement: from the snow storm of Marian, to the chilling cold of Marengo to damp fog of Normal.

Enjoy.

However, the success of the 1998 football has not allowed time to work on last year's successful season. So enter at your own risk, as there are many broken links and poorly designed pages.
