For the first time in Kaneland's history soccer is a Knights sport. The Boys played their games in the 1998 fall season while the girls first season is the spring of 1999.

1999 Girls Soccer Scores

KANELAND 0 - MORRIS 2

Kaneland High School Girls Soccer had their first game ever against Morris at Kaneland. The girls played hard only to loose 0-2 to the more experienced Morris Team. This is the first year for a soccer program at Kaneland where they will field one team and play a J-V schedule.


KANELAND 1 - PLAINFIELD 0

The Lady Knights Soccer Team traveled to Plainfield today to defeat the Morris J-V Team 1-0 on a lone goal by Nikki Heyob. The team played well together along with a strong defense. Congratulations Team!


KANELAND 1 - BURLINGTON CENTRAL 5

The J-V Soccer Team lost to Burlington Central Saturday morning. The Knights lone score came from forward Nikki Heyob. The Knight defense was continually challenged by Burlington Central's offense.


KANELAND 0 - MINOOKA 0

The Kaneland Girls Soccer Team traveled to Minooka and came away with a 0-0 tie. Defense keyed the tone of the game for both teams.


KANELAND 7 - RIDGEWOOD 0

Kaneland Girls Soccer traveled to Ridgewood High School on Wednesday and defeated the Ridgewood team 7-0. Robin Soto and Becky Kasper each had two scores along with one score from Lisa Palmer, Melissa Lundquist, and Cassie Meeks.


KANELAND 0 - ROSARY 4

Kaneland Girls Soccer hosted Rosary Tuesday afternoon. Breakaway plays and a strong defense gave Rosary an edge over the new Kaneland team.


KANELAND 0 - SYCAMORE 1

Kaneland hosted the Sycamore Girls JV Soccer team Wednesday evening. Both teams played very well with Kaneland Freshman Keeper Becky Kasper making many key saves.

KANELAND 0 - DUNDEE-CROWN 7

Kaneland JV Girls Soccer played a varsity match at Dundee-Crown High School Wednesday afternoon as part of the Elgin-Larkin Tournament. The Knights were down 2-0 at the half and lost the game by a final score of 7-0. The Kaneland team has been working on off-sides traps having 9 calls on their opponent this game.


KANELAND 0 - BURLINGTON-CENTRAL 1

Kaneland JV Girls Soccer played the Burlington Central JV team at home Thursday afternoon. Both teams played a strong midfield game with the only score on the break-away play.


KANELAND 0 - LARKIN 12

Kaneland Knights Girls Soccer traveled to Elgin-Larkin for the second of a three game tournament. The Lady Knights played a strong defensive game before losing to Larkin 12-0.


KANELAND 1 - HARLEM 4

KANELAND 1 - HARLEM 2

Kaneland Knights Girls JV Soccer participated in the Elgin-Larkin Tournament on Saturday. The Knights dropped the first game to Harlem by a score of 4-1 with a goal by Nikki Heyob. They lost the second game 2-1 with a score by Becky Kasper. The tournament was a good experience for this first-year team.

The pair of loses left the Lady Knights soccer team record at 2-12-1.


KANELAND 2 - MINOOKA 1

Kaneland Girls JV Soccer hosted the JV Girls from Minooka Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Knights fell behind 1-0 eary in the game. Becky Kasper took an assist from Cassie Meeks to tie the game in the second half and later scored again. The Knight midfield and defense did an excellent job during the game as well as Sarah Conely's return from injury in the Knight goal.


KANELAND 1 - PLAINFIELD 1

Kaneland JV Girls Soccer hosted Plainfield Thursday evening. An early score by Kaneland Freshman Robin Soto gave Kaneland an early lead. Plainfield answered with 5 minutes left in the half. Kaneland Goal Keeper Sarah Conely fielded many shots on goal inspite of an earlier injury.


Kaneland vs. Morris - Rained Out

The Kaneland Girls JV Soccer match at Morris was cancelled at the kickoff due to lightning.
