A Look at the 1997-98 Bowling Season

Nine year coach Jim McKnight says, "It's typical for us that we get girls interested early and in part due to our rural location, many of the girls eventually find other activities or we lose them to jobs."

But this year McKnight has seven returning bowlers from last year. The varsity will be led by senior Kelly Ferdinand, who averaged about 150 last year. She is bolstered by three juniors - Shannon Minson (150), Angie Heath (145) and Jenna Schmidt (135).

Beth Greyer who averaged about 130 per game as a freshman, will also be a key player for the team of limited experience.
