Kaneland 47 Wheaton St. Francis 40

The Kaneland Freshmen won their first of the season by jumping to a 20-11 first quarter lead and playing a tough St. Francis team even the rest of the way to win by seven, 47-40 win. Chad Sterkel lead the Knights with 18 points and Justin Wolbers chipped in with 13.

Kaneland 55 St Charles 39

Robbie Biertz lead the Knights with 13 points followed by Chad Sterkel with 11 and Justin Wolbers with 8. The B-team won 55-41.

Sycamore 49 Kaneland 40

Kaneland freshmen lost their first game of the year to Sycamore 49-40. Dave Issel lead the Knights with 10 points. Robbie Biertz added 9. B-team won 46-34.

Westmont 40 Kaneland 20

Kaneland lost it's second game in a row to Westmont 40-20 to even their record to 2-2. Knights leading scorer was Dave Issel with 8 and the next highest scorer was 3 points. B-team lost also 28-25.

Kaneland 43 Hinckley Big-Rock 31

Trailing 20-15 at half time the Knights outscored HBR 28-11 in the second half for a convincing 43-31 win. Kaneland was led by Pat Albrecht with 15 points. Scott Pitstick added 8 including Kaneland's only 3-pointer. There was no B-game.

Kaneland 41 Yorkville 36

The Knights moved their record to 4-2 beating Yorkville at Yorkville 41-36. The Knights jumped off to a 34-23 half time lead and then scored only 7 points in the second half. Pat Albrecht led the Knights with 11 points and Justin Pauly added 10. Scott Pitstick had 7 and Matt Nelson had 6. The B-team won 37-36.

Kaneland 57 Aurora Christian 29

The Knights nearly doubled Aurora Christian's score in route to a 57-29 victory. The Knights led only 13-12 after one quarter, but then outscored AC 44-17. Scott Pitstick and Pat Albrecht had 12 points each and Justin Pauly added 11.

Batavia 55 Kaneland 43

Kaneland fell behind early 14-3 and was never able to catch up as they lost to Batavia 55-43. The Knights did outscore Batavia in the second half though 31-29. The loss left the Knights at 5-3 for the season. Scott Pitstick lead the Knights with 14. Robbie Bientz had 8, Dave Issel 7, and Pat Albrecht 6. The B-team lost 56-33

Hampshire 45 Kaneland 37

The Knights lost their final game of the year to Hampshire 45-37. Kaneland jumped off to a 10-7 first quarter lead but were outscored in the second quarter 19-11. Pat Albrecht lead the Knights with 10. Dave Issel added 8 and Matt Nelson 6. The B-team lost 48-40.

Batavia 41 Kaneland 34

The Freshmen Knights failed to show up in the first quarter of their first game of the new year and found themselves trailing a very quick and active Batavia team 11-0 at the end of the first quarter and 22-5 at halftime. However, they outscored Batavia 29 to 19 in the second half bringing respectability to the game. The Knights were led by Dave Issel with 10 points, Pat Albrecht with 8 and Robbie Biertz with 6. The loss dropped the Knights to 1-2 in the conference.

Riverside-Brookfield 43 Kaneland 31

Kaneland fell behind 21-9 at the end of the first quarter and was never able to catch up as Riverside-Brookfield kept the lead at about a dozen for rest of the game as the Knights lost 43-31. The Knights where led by Pat Albrecht with 11, Scott Pitstick with 8 and Robbie Biertz and Kyle Donka with 6 each. The B-team also lost 41-25.

Morris 49 Kaneland 43

The Morris Redskins jumped off to a 24-10 halftime lead, bumped it up to 37-23 after three quarter, and survived a late 20-12 Kaneland run at the end of the game for a Redskin 49-43 win.

The Knights were led by Pat Albrecht with 13 points, Dave Issel with 8, and Robbie Biertz and Scott Pitstick with 6 each. Justin Pauly and Doug Robinson hit the only treys in the game for the Knights.

The lose dropped the Knights to 5-7 for the season and saw any hopes of a conference championship slip away as they are now 1-4 in the conference.
